| Cigarettes in Washington state recently took it's steepest tax jump to date. Cartons jumped from $65.00 to $85.00 seemingly overnight. This just seems like over kill to me. I think you're right, we are going to be seeing a healthy black market and it will worsen all the problems they claim the are trying to fix with the tax increases. I'm within a 30 minute drive to Oregon where their prices are high, but not as high as the state I live in, at least for now. |
