Hi! Nice idea for a cubit. Are you going to post lessons?

I'd thought about a word of the day.

I'd like that. How about a word or also a phrase, where you use that word in a sentence?

I would love to learn some Spanish words and phrases; well, Tex-Mex.

There really isn't that much of a difference between European Spanish and what we hear around here. The main difference that I can see is the slang. It is comparable to the difference between Australian and/or British English and the way we speak English here in the U.S. Australia and Britain both have their own slang words, as do we, but it's still understandable as English. I will have to think about a beginning word or phrase for us.

Actually I did create a word of the day forum. I'm guessing I messed it up somehow because it's showing up somewhere different. I'll ask Dave about it tomorrow. It's been a really long day. I need a yawning smiley.

That would be a good suggestion fot the smiley thread.

I've got a thread going for word of the day. Would someone see if they see it and let me know?

Hi I took some Spanish in high school, and a refresher class as an adult, but having not used it and it being so many years ago I have forgotten most of it. I'll be checking in regularly as a way to remember some of what I have forgotten and hopefully hold on to it!

I do have a question: how would I tell someone I only know a little Spanish...I hate to have someone under the impression I know Spanish and have them rattling on....

Thanks, and good idea for a Cubit site!

Maridel, the best phrase would be "No puedo hablar mucho" or I can't speak much (or a lot).

pron: No pway' doh ah blar' moo' cho

Thank you Anne. By-the-way you do great with the pronunciations, very easy to follow. Mucho gracias!
