Hi Ladies,
I'm Karen, mom to Brittany(15,14 days till being 16)We are already getting college info in the mail, she is going to double major in Accounting and Spanish. And she wants nothing to do with gardening and flowers.I enjoy gardening and my flowers. And my animals. A farm girl raised and cooped up in a small rural town. And now since I have had time to look on the internet for plant groups and sites,I'm becoming interested in house plants and flowers too. I've been winter sowing seeds, and starting some tropicals in the house. But my main 2 in hooked on are Brugs and Tropical Hibiscus.I think I should start a rescue for all Brug and Hibiscus cuttings anyone wants to send me.As I love them all.I look forward to getting to know you and sharing ups and downs with you. Karen
my daughter doesnt seem interested in driving. just got her permit a few months ago.
Trish there are some scholarships you start applying for in 10th and 11th grade. there are some fantastic sites out there.
i will post a few on a forum just for that. as for grants and loans every state is different. you can go to your local state gov. site and look up scholarships. some states do the hope and life ones. get them prepared to write essays for them. lots of essays
Thank you I would really appreciate the links.. It will probably take 10th 11th and 12th grade years for it all to sink into my head..I better get an early start...
My son wasnt that interested in driving until he got a girlfriend who lives 30 miles away... My youngest son loves to drive..thinks he has to drive everyday about 15 times lol...He does a good job of driving ( driving me crazy)
Hi all! I am mom to 3 kids ages 23,20 & 14 also a foster daughter age 21, and four step kids ages 17, 21, 22, 26 so yes! eight is enough! I also am grandma to a 2 1/2 yr old bundle of joy!
Most of our kids are now grown, we only have my 14 yr old, and DHs 17 & 21 yr olds at home. We have 3 kids in college now, unfortunately no scholarships so they are paying tuition while working, or doing student loans.
Just wanted to stop in and say hi!

This is a place for moms to talk about mom things. Problems with teething to college stuff. Where moms can talk about their gardens and finding time between kids and life. This is the place for moms to be moms.
