We did love it...even SIL. I knew we'd never get another chance with an only child.

Tell your grandson congratulations for me. We lived at Hickam AFB in Hawaii....a block from the entrance to Pearl Harbor yrs ago. We would ride our bikes and race the Navy ships coming into the Harbor. So impressive seeing all the sailors, dressed in whites, lining the decks at attention. Had Navy wives for friends when we were there too. Sometimes a lonely life for the wives, always left behind. Being that they're both Navy, should be a lot more understanding of the long separations.

It's my Granddaughter getting married...and they both were on The Nimitz this winter until March.
Yes, the "Maning the Rail" is very impressive...especially as they pass the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor.....Jo
