I saw a news blurb on Yahoo today about a house that has shelves everywhere- in the steps, on the door (brilliant, IMO). I would love that house! I didn't think of the dusting. But who does that, anyhow? I was dreaming about that shelf house again this morning, found one of my tchotchkes on the floor. I've never had Baklava with chocolate on it... sounds yummy! Just about everything at Zingerman's is straight out of foodie paradise. Their prices... well.... not so much! Hmm, I once saw an article about painting melted chocolate on real leaves (but be careful not to use toxic plants, obviously), chilling them, and then peeling the leaves off. Also painting edible flower petals with chocolate and then dusting with the really sparkly cake-decorating sugars. If she is both a gardener and a chocolate connoisseur, that might appeal to both aspects. It would be time consuming, though.
