Sorry, I don't have one either. Wish I did!

Angie, your home sounds like heaven!!! Most of my books are just as I moved them almost 6 years ago- in computer paper boxes up in the loft. My babies!! LOL. The bookcases are all in pieces down in the basement.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

That's strange, Anna. My guess is you somehow got into some weird screen mode and it looks like they're gone. Maybe your grand kids hid those photos from you! And maybe they could find them, too. I'll look at mine after I wake up a bit and see if I can guess where they might be hidden. I know it's easy to do weird things like that on the iPad. Those things seem intuitive to some folks but not to me.

When you open your photo icon from your home page, what's there now?

Anna, is yours an iPad1 or iPad2? Which operating system are you using?

When you open the photos icon from your home page, what's there? Do you have the buttons at the top? I have
Photos, photo stream, albums, and events.

I have the original iPad. When I now open the "Photos" button it says it is empty. (gnashing of teeth............)

Do you have the other 3 buttons? Do they have anything in them?

I have the original ipad too, which used the ios4 operating system. I updated to ios5 and now, some websites that didn't work with ipad before work now. Also, with it is the cloud which is to update everything wirelessly so you don't have to hook up to sink with your desktop.

You might want to look at the new os.

And isn't there a computer guru cubit here somewhere? Might be a good idea to ask that question over there?

Edited to add:
Here it is. Not a whole lot of activity lately, but might be worth a try!

I'm sure I'm not helping at all, I always get lost when trying to use my Mom's Mac. Is there a way to look at your files on iPad like on a PC?
I'm sure your photos are there, somewhere.....

I've used several of Karina's recipes & can vouch for them... they are delicious!

I found this after googling:

have you tried looking for your photos on you iPad as if it were a mass storage device in 'My Computers'? Connect your iPad via the USB but expand it in 'My Computers' until you can see the photo file. On my iPad, the photos file is the only file you can access this way.

Good idea Susan. Keeps us from iPad chat where folks want to discuss books.

Anna, if you open your photos icon, do you still have the 4 buttons at the top? Does tapping any of those buttons bring up any photos? Have you tried syncing again with your computer?
