Yeah! I'm a Charley's girl!
My kitty is none to happy about this visitor, she sat in the window and growled as I snapped this photo yesterday morning. I think he is gorgeous.

There were two of these chasing around in the tree like monkeys, fighting over the oranges. Iguanas. Amazingly agile, jumping around in the branches. They use their tails to let themselves down easy.

Mmmm, about four or five pounds at most, three feet long, but the older guys are up to five feet to the tip of their tail, and they turn dark gray.

The greens are very pretty.

Speechless, I don't think they even hiss.

Lizards are generally quiet, hey? Oh, do alligators roar? Me no know!

I like them, but they are lousy pets. Get a dog, cat, or parakeet.

I don't think I've seen lizards fight. We have lots of lizards here but much smaller. No lizard pet for me - my kitty would find it irresistible.

Hi Everyone,

I'm so excited to see the great photos you've posted already.

Gorgeous coyote, angele. I can't even wrap my head around the idea of having coyotes looking in the window at me much less growling. We don't have them here. We don't have bears or wolves or really any dangerous wildlife - unless you count alligators, that is. He/she is a beautiful animal though.

Wow, coconut, what a nice iguana photo. I really do think they have interesting, and, yes, lovely, lines. I've been wanting to paint one someday when time allows.

Cheryl, I'm sorry I wasn't clear... it was the kitty who was growling, lol

Here is a baby desert cottontail - photo taken last May

Awwwwhhhh! angele,

That little baby bunny is SO cute. Last summer an Eastern Cottontail showed up in my (fenced in) backyard cottage garden. He/she appeared to be living there as it had a bed of sorts built in an area sheltered by a large overturned pot and some rose brambles. The bunny was so cute, I even ignored all of the flowers he/she sawed in half.

ROTFL RE "it was the kitty who was growling". Oh, ok, I didn't see that one coming. LOL because those kitties are pretty tough.

Instead of running after perfection, why not simply walk in faith?
