| Yes I get the pattern free from Lion brand web site. |

| Hi Trisha! I've been a little short on time lately so I am mostly just reading posts to keep up. Where does the time go? "Give me again o nature your primal sanities." Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman |

| you are welcome. The one I am doing now is simple, just double crochet stitch. Sandy |

| here is a simple trick when you are counting stitches. The shawl that I just finished last row was 414 stitches long. Now I do not know about y'all but I have problems keep the count. Usually you are only off 1 or 2 stitches,. A simple trick is to count in 10 or 20's, in the case of the last counted row of 414 you will end up with 14 stitches if you are correct, |

| LOL I use those little stitch markers and for a row that long I would place them maybe every 40 stitches or so. Which reminds me - I need to get more! "Give me again o nature your primal sanities." Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman |

| Wren did you use the Vanna'a Glamour yarn? "Give me again o nature your primal sanities." Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman |

| No it was one of Hobby Lobby's yarns "I love this Yarn" super soft, super savings. Navy #90 The shawl I am working on right now is another "I Love this Yarn" they are very soft, nice to work with. I hate stopping for anything when I am crocheting so I only once used the plastic marking pens. Sandy |

| Without the marking pins I would get totally off. Lame brain. I'm going to take a look at the I Love This Yarn. How many skeins did it take? "Give me again o nature your primal sanities." Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman |

| I think 4 or maybe 5 It is always better to have extra |
| Well I just found out that there is no Hobby Lobby in Oregon or Washington, and you can't order yarn from them online. I'll use the Lion brand yarn the pattern calls for. Now to decide on the color..... "Give me again o nature your primal sanities." Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman |

| There was a question way above about using leftover yarn. I knit (4 needles ) lots of little mittens, changing colour several times to use up the yarn and put together yarns that look good together. I take them in to a Food Bank at which I volunteer around Christmas time when they are giving out extras to families. You could also knit or crochet a variety of squares in a variety of stitches, adjusting the number of stitches required to make the size correct and then put them all together into a patchwork afghan.
