List of Ingredients
1/2 cup plus 2 T milk
3/4 cup heavy cream
3 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped fine
5 large egg yolks
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 bananas
6 T brown sugar

Preparation
In a sauce pan, over medium heat, bring the milk and cream to just under a boil, stirring constantly. Add the chopped chocolate, turn off heat, and stir until dissolved.
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks and granulated sugar until yolks are light yellow. Continue beating while gradually pouring in the milk/chocolate mixture. Set aside.
Put 6 4 oz. ramekins or custard cups in a rectangular baking pan. Divide the mixture evenly between them. Open the oven and set the pan on the rack. Pour boiling water into pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake in this hot water bath 50- 60 minutes or until set.
Transfer to a baking sheet and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time.
At serving time, turn on the broiler. Thinly slice bananas and arrange on top of the individual ramekins; sprinkle 1 T brown sugar over each and broil until carmelized.
