bitbit- I had a pup once from a stray mom, that looked very much like your guy. She was a real sweet dog, we even named her Hunny.
What's cuter, the rats or the rat sized watermelon Hurray! We had two rats for DS, they were totally tolerant of handling unlike the halmsters and gerbils I've had.

Thanks Toni- she's got a pretty personality too.

Long story short, I looked for his humans and didn't find them, so I took him in. I named him LITTLEguy becuase he is very small for a Tom. His well earned new nickname is Fang. He's 2. I look forward to his aging out of the Fang stage - god I HOPE it's a stage!!!!!

We went to Reynolds Georgia. Every year Panhandle Farm has a Mule Plow days and it is so great to go and see these animals work. You don't see any whips for cruelty here. Just love for the animals. Thumb of 2011-05-18/Ridesredmule/515754

Sally, Muffin was a stray before he got picked up and we adopted him (13 years ago, now). Maybe they're related! I actually hear from so many people that they once knew a dog who looked like him, which I think is odd because he's such a funny-looking dog.

Here's one where you can see his proportions a little better:

Thumb of 2011-05-18/bitbit/b100d4
Definitely some Corgi in him, and who knows what else...

I've owned rats since I was a teenager. Their short lives are hard to handle, but they have such big personalities in those little bodies. Very dog-like if they're well socialized. All of mine come from shelters or rescues, so some have good reason to distrust humans, but almost all come around eventually.

they look nothing alike to me ... and that is totally honest... guess it's like when you have twins... they are all different weights so I guess that would help someone not around them all the time.. my honey gets confused now and then and calls them the wrong dog... esp if his mom's Pepper is over.. she looks exactly like Lily.. but when she goes on vacation.. we have 7 dogs all together and I still know who is who.. even when running around the yard.. when we first had the litter of puppies it was tough because they all looked the same.. we started marking them with nail polish as they were born.. and moved on to colored Velcro collars.. but as they grew up it was easier and easier and then we had less and less of them as they sold.. we had the puppies & his mom went away.. we had 11 dogs all together and I loved every min of it Big Grin I can say having 7 grown up ones in bed with me.. will save anyone on a heating bill Thumbs up

LOL, I keep yelling at DH 'cuz he STILL can't get the white cats right. We have Osiris (fluffy LONG white), Thor (fluffy BIG white), Apollo (fluffy grumpy white), Raiden (shorthair HUGE white), Chaos (shorthair big white), Vasilla (small EXTREMELY fat), Odin (extremely light-colored buff flame-point), and now Nyx (teeny kitten buff flame-point). He can't ever get their names right. And then with the black kitties, we have Conan (head of the household, medium shorthair black), Bast (Queen of the house, small shorthair black), Luna (semiferal small shorthair black) and Eire (pronounced Eerie, half-grown longhair black). He can never get their names right.

And in a king, we usually have Conan, Bast, Thor, Raiden, Chaos, Morpheus (skinny tabby-siamese), Osiris, and, if he sneaks on, Sebastian (60lb mutt). Plus 2 huge humans. Just not enough room. And now the 2 kittens (Nyx & Tara http://cubits.org/roses/thread/view/56500/)

Took some pictures this morning of some of the resident goldfinches. There's at least 10 goldfinches, but I was in a rush this morning & only got pics of like 5-6 of them. Second picture is through the window screen. The bright yellows are adult males, the duller yellows (first picture) are either females or immature males. 2nd & 3rd picture also show house finches. There's nyger thistle in the feeders (I buy it in bulk at Excello Seed).

I love em ALL!

Oh Bitbit, I want some ratties! I've wanted ratties for a long time. I've had 2 good friends who were rats but lived elsewhere. I didn't get any rats when I first fell in love with them because I had 3 cats. When the love of my life cat died I thought I'd use the between-cats-time to have allthe critters I couldn't have while I have cats. I got bunnies and was actively watching the shelters for birds. The this street kitty came along and now I have a cat again....
