Calves are so sweet. Love the smell of a new baby animal. I love to look at them out in the pastures too. Those long legged colts palying in the field or nursing their Moms. So Wonderful.

Anjl, they are so pretty! Is the farm close to you? Or is it your farm?

I wish it was my farm Linda... I've been taking my babies there for 22 yrs, so it feels like my farm! It is about 1/4 mile from my house and easy stroller walk or bike ride. It is actually a Historic Farm that was left to the city when the final family passed on. they have restored it all pretty much identical to how it was in the 1800s along with volunteers who wear period costumes etc. In the past few years membership and visitors have dropped. So I figured if I did a blog about the babys some of my local friends might take their kids to go see and hlep the farm out :) I'll always be a visitor, and I believe DGS will too...he loves it there sooo much! LOL

Our first baby goats this year are due around 3/24. DH is wearing himself out trying to get everything ready. Rolling my eyes.

A lot happening at the farm this week. The cows have yet to come home, and no baby goats were born, but...

This week we got to learn how to make rope
We met the youngest draft horse "Red"
There is a new baby goat 'Cookie' that was brought to the farm
The piglets have arrived!!
We got a chance to get up close and personal with 'Tinkerbell'!!
Plus, the trains are now running so DGS finally got his first ride on the train! I have started a new thread for the trains so we can see the draft horse in action soon! Historic Trains
Since the gardens are now starting to bloom, I have also added a thread for their photos Historic Garden Thread

come check out the new photos and new threads!

Just took a tour of the farm animals with ya. Sure enjoyed it. Just wish I could have reached out and touched them : ) Don't care how big I get , I do enjoy animals. The neighborhood has been bringing horses in all over the place and the other day noticed somebody now has brought miniature horses and ponies in.

Thanks Ella! I do have lots of fun there. I have pix from the last 2 weeks to upload, and we are headed over there again tomorrow. I'm hoping there are finally some baby goats, but that may be another week or two.

Last sunday, they sheared all the adult sheep and OH MY do they look different! LOL! Maybe I'll get a chance to load those pix this weekend.
