Beckygardener posted : Zap-a-gap glue? I am checking into this product. Sounds like a good one if two folks here have already mentioned it! I am going to start working on my dollhouse finally! Might be a fun project to work on over the half-summer time off I get this year! Too hot to be out in the garden, so I will enjoy working inside in A/C on a long over-due project!

Something that I am going to do also ... is take photos of my dollhouse construction with me and my dh in some of the photos, too. I plan to make one of those 20 page photo books, also sharing information about building this project in the book. Now that I have a granddaughter, I want to complete it so she can come visit and play with it, maybe help her build her own one day, and then eventually leave it to her or another grandchild as a heirloom (and the book goes with it!). Gotta leave some kind of legency! If I have more than one granddaughter ... well ... I guess I'll just have to make more than one dollhouse!

I wanted to add that one of my favorite tools is not an actual tool, but a large "thrown together" table with casters that my dh built and I painted just for large projects (mainly my dollhouse). All parts were left over wood or other pieces from other projects, so it didn't cost me anything. Not even paint as I used left-over white paint as well. I can either turn the table as needed to work on all sides of the dollhouse or purchase an inexpensive turn-table to be able to rotate the dollhouse manually right on top of the table.

:hurray: Hurray! Becky, I hope you will post pictures in the dollhouse forum! I would love to see the progress!

I am still working on the new dollhouse I received at Christmas, its now sitting on its own table in the office.... so hopefully it will be completed soon Whistling

DH is starting work on our basement this weekend (adding 3 rooms and setting up his workshop) Once the woodshop is set up I hope to design and build my own dollhouse Big Grin
