So often leaves are shown in a picture asking for identification....very difficult to do. Some leaves are unmistaken, like H. callistophylla.
The BASE of the leaf, where the petiole meets the leaf, is one of the key points to look at...how does it compare to what you are trying to match? Well...often the bases seem very similar...but look around the plant....is there one leaf that is really WAY out there? Does it seem to be a normal leaf, are there more than just one or two leaves that are out of the normal range?
Here are two leaves from the same small cutting...There are only 6 leaves, and the larger one is not the newest one... So...I am disregarding it, and going with the majority!!!

How about picture of the leaves?
H. pubicalyx cultivars are almost impossible to pin down now, Hetty...they have mutated, morphed, cross pollinated ad nauseum...and the best call would be H. pubicalyx cultivar....

Bubbles...it looks to me like H. kerrii. Yes, a lovely hoya....called the Sweetheart Hoya because of the heart shaped leaves. Likes to grow dryish...lots of light and warmth. Yours is beautiful!!!

Thanks Carol for ID! The nursery I bought it from hardly ever IDs anything. I didn't know they didn't like water. I better join this Cubit so I can keep up with my other orphans that have quit blooming...
I have been collecting, studying and selling hoyas for about 10 years. This Cubit is about growing hoyas, and about the hoyas I have to sell. I welcome any and all hoya lovers, whether you want to buy or not. Hooked on Hoyas is another great Hoya sight
