Should cuttings from a H. polyneura be rooted in soil or water? Where should the stems be cut ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated !!!! I asked for a flower and he gave me a garden, then grand-kids to work in it with me!!!! |

As polyneura likes growing dry, I would root them in a very loose chunky soil mix...and keep it damp. Semi Hydro would be best. As long as you can put one or two nodes in the soil, you should be fine...and they can be as long as you want. I always cut off the growing tip of the cutting.... OR...you could lay them down ON TOP of the soil and weight them down with rocks at the nodes. Keep in shade in the coolest place you can find.... Leap. The net will appear. |
