Dee...allow me to comment on your Wish List

REALLY hard to grow: H. inflata, telosmoides, lasiantha (also hard to find)
H. vitellinoides is syn with H. meredithii I believe
H. wallichii and H. campanulata are often muddled...H. campanulata is the larger flower...

Thanks for the info Carol. On H. wallichii and campanulata, I thought that wallichii is really white, while campanulata has a more peachy color - at least that is whay the pictures look like to me.

When looking for H. memoria, also check out H. inconspicua...I think they are syn. It goes by another name as well.

Hi everyone, this is my very first post...I have enjoyed reading all the wonderful posts and enjoyed the pictures even more. Thanks for all the lovely pictures and wonderful info I've learned.

My 33 year wedding anniversary Hurray! is coming up in several weeks and I have asked DH for only one thing...Hoya patella. That is my wish list. The problem is I can't find anyone that has a rooted one for sale. I've emailed about 12-15 different vendors and checked Ebay and no one has it. I prefer not to buy from Thailand because I had a bad experience with dead cuttings when they arrived because it took 17 days to get here...plus the shipping is very high. Please, if anyone knows somebody that might have one let me know...I appreciate it very much. Please email me directly or let me know here. Thanks again! I tip my hat to you.

Carol, your comment "When looking for H. memoria, also check out H. inconspicua...I think they are syn. It goes by another name as well." caused me to pause a moment. I have both memoria and inconspicua and can attest that they are not the same plant. I guess I should start a new thread about this. So I'll take pictures tonight. Perhaps one of my "memoria" or "inconspicua" is wrongly ID'd - neither has flowered for me yet. Although I had "gracilis" and it was definitely the same plant as "memoria" and I gave it away. Anyway, new thread to come to discuss this tantalizing conundrum.

Confused

Christine
