It's all about choices.
There is always something to say and no where to say it!!!!

I'll start out ....

I think the funniest thing that has ever happened to me in this business is when a lovely client ask what to do about mealiebugs...and I told her that I am very successful with BATS. She responded with the fact that she might have a hard time finding bats, but could she use praying mantiss.....

I assumed she knew the acronym stood for Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub. 2Tblspoons in a Gal. of water and drench your plant.... The active ingredient, Imidocloprid, goes systemic and keeps'em clean for a LONG time - up to a year!!!!

She must have thought I was crackers!

ROFL at that story Carol ... that could have been me!

That's is really funny, I can just imagine the look on that lady's face! But, ahem ... I must confess, I have known about Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub for a long time and use it, but had never seen it written BATS or heard it referred to as just BATS until I joined DG.

... I just lurked and waited for someone else to ask the question! ^_^

LOL! I felt so bad when I had to tell her not THOSE bats....!!!!

Then, today, I was on 'duty' at the extension office where I volunteer as Master Gardener: "I been haven all kine problem kill my weeds. I use all kine stuff and spend choke money... So, wa'kin weeds dees?"

He had clumps of grass and a mess of ageratum which is a terribly common weed. And the first lesson of the day is:.... I could not believe he didn't know what GRASS looks like!!! Then he goes on to tell me about all the fruit trees he has planted and how 'dey no look good'...and I could not go there!!!! I didn't want to know!!!

LOL, you guys are too funny!

Here is something I thought was a good one, only from Florida

"FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days... The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..".

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned." You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture! "

Lin did you hear about this?

Dee, that is so funny, I hadn't heard that one in awhile. It's not something that actually happened though, one of the myth/legend/joke things that had been going around awhile ago: http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/atheist.asp

I have been collecting, studying and selling hoyas for about 10 years. This Cubit is about growing hoyas, and about the hoyas I have to sell. I welcome any and all hoya lovers, whether you want to buy or not. Hooked on Hoyas is another great Hoya sight
