Wandering thru my large pots of hoyas (let's say 6" +) it occured to me that watering AT THE STEM puts a lot of moisture in the most congested part of the root system....and not out to where the feeder roots are. Hmmmmm - epiphanies come at wierd times  So...I am watering around the edge of the pot (inside of course) first and then working my way towards the main stem....hopefully avoiding that nasty stem rot I sometimes get with the old wood on large plants.Anyone have thoughts about this? Leap. The net will appear. |
