| I have two plants I water at the base - H cv "Optimistic" and a plant I can never remember the name of. This second one, because if it runs dry of water, it loses leaves. The former because it has a 10" wide pot and if I water enough for the water to come out the bottom, it sometimes overflows. This way, within a few hours it has soaked up all the water and the potting medium at the top of the plant is damp. Christine |
