It's all about choices.
As soon as they look old enough 'to drink'. Fish Fert is like 5-1-1 and the Nitrogen is stable, it doesn't "flash off" like some of the granular fertilizer exposed to the air and water. I also add about 1 Tbsp. of Molassas to the water. The sugars feed the bacteria and attracts worms ...which poop a lot. Any sugar is good - heck the juice from any canned fruit, a flat coke or, beer you don't need much.... The more bacterial action in the soil with happy worms create good sugars in the plant itself which increases the nutitional stuff which is carried in the sugars... Here's a link where I learned that and a whole bunch of good advice. I don't do it by the book, and I've never made their sexycocktail fertilizer....but maybe I will try it. I will come as close to their own product if I can...or figure something else out. I sorta picked out the information and simplified it for what I can do easily. It WORKS!!

I tip my hat to you.
Leap. The net will appear.
