After 13 years online, Cubits.org is scheduled to be shut down. Please make sure you have the contact information for all your friends, and that you download whatever content you want from this site.
There are now more than two hundred cultivars of Brugmansia and the list keeps growing. Most brugs are winter hardy to zone 7 with some protection. They die to the ground in freezing weather and come back from the roots in the spring.Brug flowers come in several colors and many shapes and flower positions. As with many tropical plants, brugmansia are poisonous if ingested.Listed flower sizes are measured across the face, not including the tendrils.Length of flower includes the peduncle(stem). When adding to the database you may skip those items you are not sure of.Someone will fill them in later. Before you post a picture to the database go through the files and make sure your cultivar of Brugmansia has not already been posted. If it is posted you can click on it and post your picture and comments on the already existing thread. Options are at the bottom of the entry page. Bloom sizes are to be measured across the face, not including tendrils.Length is to include the peduncle(stem) Remember to put the date your picture was taken. Many of these can have a very different appearance from season to season, or the difference in growing conditions. |
