Hi JJ. We all know that one won't fly...you are Home Health...NOT a Merry Maid. Big Yellow Grin

It is SNOWING here??? WTH? Last time was 2009.

Thumb of 2017-12-08/Moonhowl/b67965 Frozen orange juice anyone?

I think the weather is upside down. Smiley, how much snow did you get? We have close to 1.5 inches and it is still coming down.

Y'all be safe, stay warm and be well. Group hug

Snow, Moon??? WTH is right!

I think we probably got about 6" total in the city. South of here in the snowbelt got a lot more, I'm sure!

So So glad that Jordan doesn't need surgery. Hurray! I didn't know he was interested in cooking. He should consider Buffalo for a vacay destination some day (in summer of course). He have some great food here, lot's of restaurants. Drooling Home of the Beef on Weck and Chicken Wings! And he can bring Grandma... Smiling

Moon, that sounds just awesome! Congrats!

JJ, I was going to ask if you got any snow, but remembered it was Lake Effect. Usually we get your weather a couple days later. Good luck with the new people!

DH's mom fell and fractured her hip 2 days ago. She's such a teeny thing, if you blow in her direction you think she's gonna topple, but they did tests to see if she was strong enough for surgery, then did surgery and she's doing fine so far. I can't imagine - a 2" incision for a plate & pins. She's a lot stronger than we give her credit for.

Have a great weekend!

Good thoughts for your MIL. Hope her recovery is fast and complication free. Group hug

We had 4+ inches of rain followed by 2+ inches of snow. The power went out around Noon Friday. A snow laden tree fell and took the whole power pole down with it. The power is still out, but we do have a generator, so at least I have hot coffee and cold cream... Rolling my eyes. It was 32 outside at 7AM and a whopping 52 inside. I am pretty sure the snow, the first here since 2009, will set back the construction.

Y'all be safe, the battery is fading fast.

Thanks for the thought JJ...we were without power for about 30 hours. The high Monday was 70F... Confused No wonder folks are getting sick. Ah well, need to finish up here and try to finish emptying out the shed and move all my potted plants. DH is "not available" and hasn't been as yet. (stick whack guy) but that is a story for another day.

Hugs to you both. Be safe and stay warm.

Good morning!

That sucks Moon, but at least the power is back on. It reminds me of our October Storm here, a bunch of years ago. Just cold enough for the snow to form, I bet it was nice & heavy.

MIL is doing well, thank you. She is in rehab now, we're going to see her later on. Now we have another person to think about, although it's not so direct. BB's daughter (& LB's sister) is 31 years old and she had a massive heart attack late Sunday night. They induced a coma, her lungs had collapsed (from the CPR), they had to zap her 4 times to get her heart moving. They are going to start warming her up soon, and waking her up. Where is that little praying smiley??? Poor thing, she had almost 100% blockage in one artery. The only thing they can figure is she had lap band surgery a few years ago and while you get used to how much you can eat it's common to upchuck if you eat too much. That actually throws your heart into a tizzy and can loosen up plaque if you are prone to that. Heart disease is common on both sides of the family. (( sigh... )) I've known these kids since they were very little. I hope everything turns out ok.

Everyone ready for Christmas? Rolling on the floor laughing Me neither...

Have a great day!

thank you Moon. BB said they warmed her up and she opened her eyes on command, which is a really good sign. I haven't heard anything beyond that today, he let us know that info this morning.

As usual, I am nowhere near ready.

Good afternoon! I have a few silly things to get and then I am done. Done, Done, Done!

BB's DD is doing well. She is now tube-free, her heart rate is good, pulse, BP.. all that good stuff. The only thing that seems to be whacked out is her memory. And it's not either/or. She thinks it's about 8 years ago (as far as where she works and who she is dating) but at the same time knows it's 2017. She doesn't remember working at her current job (for around 8 years) but knows 2 of her coworkers that she pals around with. Isn't that odd? But she's coming along. Lovey dubby

Have a great rest of the day, and stay warm!

I tip my hat to you.

Good news on BB's DD. Memory loss is one of the mysteries that science still hasn't figured out.

I only have a couple things for Eden and I too am Done, done done....

Saw on the weather channel that the Great Lakes area is in for some really cold weather. You stay warm and safe Smiley. Group hug

Good morning!

BB's DD is home! Hurray! She came home the other night. We had our annual holiday outing to the local gin mill yesterday afternoon, he was babbling away... I think he needed to release some of it. Her memory is pretty much back. I guess they showed her the employee badge for her current job, it has a 5 year pin on it, and boom! That must have been the trigger. She has to have some physical therapy and will probably be on some type of medication for life but wow... the comeback kid...

Is everyone ready, more or less, for Christmas? How is JJ doing?

MIL is getting moved to a SNF when she gets out of rehab. DD works at one, and it is one of the few 5 star places in the area. So she's trying to 'use her connections' to get her in there.

Everyone have a great holiday, stay warm and enjoy your families! Group hug

Hurray! Greay news on BB's DD...who'da thought she would recover that well. Group hug

Hope MIL can get placed where DD works....it would be beneficial for everyone if she does.

One thing to try to find for GD Eden...and then I am over and done.

You guys be very careful, stay warm and safe and "have yourselves a Merry Merry Christmas" Lovey dubby

Good Morning

Were did the time go? Can't believe it's been that long since I've checked in.

Sorry to hear about BB's DD but so glad she is doing well. Glad to hear MIL is doing well also.

Glad your power is back on Moon.

Been crazy busy here and still waiting on the guaranteed before Christmas delivery packages. ( whacking head guy) but everyone was happy so crisis diverted. Thumbs up

Long story short 2 nights a week at DG turned into 4 ( darn kids have no work ethics) mom got pneumonia ended up in hospital last Tuesday, talked Dr into letting her go home Wednesday, she went to work Thursday got sicker, ( wouldn't go back to hospital, I discovered she had not been taking her antibiotic, just the other meds they gave her, antibiotic was in a box she thought it was over the counter med) back to Dr. on Sat and I still hadn't been grocery shopping for Christmas at that point or finished my shopping.. Rolling my eyes. Took her home from Dr. back to town shopping I finally got done. Hurray!

Discovered Christmas morning the sugar cookies still aren't frosted. Rolling on the floor laughing

Hope everyone had a great Christmas....was fun but sure glad it's over.

Good afternoon! Big Yellow Grin

I hope mom is back to normal soon, JJ. Moon, how's the construction going? Or did they break until after the holidays?

Lynnie said to say 'happy holidays' to both of you. She just had to send me an email when The Patriots were absolutely killing The Bills last week. They took all the air out of our balloon after a Buffalo touchdown got called back. I don't know how the hell they could have ever called it in replay, it was thatclose. Oh well...

everyone have a good New Year's. We'll probably be sleeping by 10:30 anyways.

I tip my hat to you.

I have to work New year's Eve until ten and I'll probably be in bed before midnight. Been a long time since I've seen a new year come in. Rolling my eyes.
