|Thank you, Jean. It's nice to be appreciated. I do enjoy writing. Sometimes the words and phrases just pop into my head, and at other times I struggle to describe something. When I was in high school English composition class we did an exercise where we each wrote a paragraph, then the teacher collected and redistributed them. We all rewrote another person's work, then the pages were collected again and again. Nobody knew whose work they were reworking. It was fun. Now I just rework my own messes. That is not as much fun.
I'm glad that Jim's diabetes can be controlled with diet and meds. I can imagine how difficult that might have been when you had half the neighbors living in your house after the flood.
I checked out the clematis links. All beautiful but WOW that white one! After two attempts to grow clematis here, I have given up. Hot, dry winds and clematis don't mix. Last year I bought a nice wisteria, babied it all summer and it woke from the base this spring, then got frozen, and now the hailstorm.... the jury is still out. I have Virginia Creeper that does well, and a honeysuckle (Hall's) that did wonderfully for a few years climbing on the arbor near the back door.... and then it died for no reason that I could determine. I guess if we don't try the impossible we will never really know....
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
