White Heath Aster, Symphyotrichum ericoides grows wild in mostly dry soil. We've had quite a bit of drought this year. The asters are just starting to bloom and will continue until frost.

Camphorweed, Heterotheca subaxillaris is an annual or biennial, a tall and sprawling plant reaches approx 4 feet. Puts on a show in late summer and early fall, continued well into the winter.

I took such a good picture of this blowfly that I had to add it!! LOL It's on Tall Boneset; many isects are attracted to this native plant.
