Catching up... here's the final wind shelter:

So far I've been pleased. The only thing I'm going to change is covering the ends w/polycarb paneling. I've found smoke colored polycarb at Lowe's for around $35 per sheet; a heck of a lot cheaper than what I payed for the other stuff.

The 30% shade cloth cuts the wind by about half, & allows plenty of light. Good enough. In fact, I like it so well I'm going to convert my high tunnel to the same design... paneling on the sides & ends w/shade cloth across the top.

Having some trouble w/a chipmunk. And probably ground squirrels, too. Suggestions for how to get rid of them? I've got a pellet rifle, but I'm not the best shot. I thought I'd set up a corn station for the squirrels to lure them into my sights... would that work for the chipmunk too?
I have little confidence in any enterprise or business or investment that promises dividends only after the death of the stockholders.

Cajun's Corner

Cajun's Corner is the place where my friends gather to enjoy each other's company. To trade tips, funny stories, memories and tall tales. So, pull up a chair, take your shoes off and relax. Coffee is always on.
