Yeah, I was censored, but not 'banned'...now that I think of it, I've never gone back there so perhaps I am banned, I wouldn't know. Still, it's her cubit and she can set her rules as she sees fit. I can see, though, that it's no place I would visit again.
Not to mention posting BIRD pictures on the California forum!! That was my sin. Lordy! Oh, and I was warned, WARNED I say, for posting the definition and etymology of the horrendous term, "crikey." Straight out of a dictionary, that was.
Dovey, you are so missed in CA. Please come visit us often. We will help you maintain your cool, which I assure you is still there.
Right, there were all sorts of stupid rules and proprietary attitudes in DG, but Sherry's talking about something that happened in Cubits. Maybe it was a mistake, Sherry. Someone here tried to delete a duplicate post once and somehow blitzed both of them. Posts can get deleted by accident.
It almost makes me want to go there and casually mention my coven.
lol...on DG my post was deleted for having said "go commando"...that offended someone's sensibilities. The double posts were mine. For some reason I have a couple of pics that in my files come up as #1 and #2 and they double post, at least that's the only reason I can find for them doing so. There's probably some other more obvious reason that I'm unaware of.

I don't see why not. I'm an atheist, but I'm such a passive one that I'd never think of starting or joining a cubit for it. A Buddhism cubit would be fascinating. Why don't you create one?
My friend Joann is in training to be a Buddhist nun and her gardening practices leave me in awe. She lovingly moves snails from her favorite plants to the ones she cares less about, and when I told her the curculio rose weevils grow from eggs in the soil, she started planning how she was going to carefully remove the soil from around her roses and take it to a less cultivated spot.
Yeah, that would last about half an hour with me....I have beliefs, they occasionally change according to whatever new information I've absorbed and I like to leave people alone with their beliefs and expect the same in return. I would wish that people could explore, question, learn, expand and not blindly follow whatever dogma they were born into,but.......
Hi Kathleen, it's good to be missed. I'll be visiting in May, my sons and 3 grandchildren still live there.
Zuzu,
Oh I am so not qualified to start a Buddhism forum! besides I can't imagine not killing a Japanese beetle, an aphid or a slug, not to mention larger more tasty living things that marry well with the BBQ.
Sherry,
yikes, I hope the deleting of the witch pic was an accident
One day I heard a knock at the door and it was a pastor from a nearby church, making the rounds of the neighborhood to invite people to services. He assumed I was a Christian and started saying things that would appeal to one, but I gently stopped him and explained that I did not have those beliefs. He actually gasped and said no one had ever said that to him before. Really, I said? Poor dear, he was quite shaken. Guess our neighborhood didn't have any Jews, or Buddhists, or .... Or maybe it's because I look so much like a WASP!
Well whatta ya know: Dovey has resurfaced...and not a moment too soon...How's the Meadow Maid ? and where did you get that ginormous ear of corn you're leaning against ???
I'm preparing to wage war against raccoons. How does one go about buying a firearm in Calif ? I'm thinkin' uzi here...several of them.
On my way home from work one night, 3 of them ran across the road in front of me and I swear they were holding hands...I still look for them any time I come that way at night. I will make any allowances for coonies.

Hi ya Mike (hugs)
The Meadow Maid slept all winter under a blanket of straw and a couple of feet of snow. I was very pleased to find healthy green growth once it was safe to uncover her. (I'd post a picture but I'm not sure where) It just amazes me that something can live for several months under a mountain of snow... I found assorted herbs and oodles green strawberry plants in my herb garden when I raked back the leaves this spring.
The Giant Corn is public art here in Columbus (actually our neighboring town Dublin) It's both a tribute and a political cometary to a farm that once grew corn and is now a business park and shopping mall. For the Dublin Art Counsel it was suppose to honor the area's long-gone agricultural heritage, to the artist (artist are a tricky bunch) the field is also makes a statement about the state of our farming industry - giant inedible food -- paid for with tax dollars.
As a social statement, It's très cool.
