Had to move to a new thread because the other one did that thing again, where you type the words and then wait for them to appear on the screen.

Hi, Louise --

I have to be more efficient about my iris posting next year. I have the names of these on maps, but that photo you asked about was taken on May 1st and now I don't remember where that iris was in the garden, so I can't look it up. Next year I'll post them with their names right away. Sorry.

Oh, that's ok. I was just wondering. It doesn't look like one I sent you. Your irises are so pretty!

Next year I'll definitely post the names, Louise, and by next year all of them should be big enough to divide and I'll send you whichever ones you like. Most of the ones I posted this year are new ones I got from Elizabethtown and from you last year. I already have you down for Cajun Cooking as soon as it's big enough to divide. I'm getting back into irises in a big way. I was looking forward to getting some more of those great broken-color ones from Kasparek, but Zebra Gardens isn't even selling irises this year.

Sherry, I have one plant - a walking iris - that came from a cutting from Savannah, GA. It was someone I met online - probably to do with genealogy - years ago. She sent me a cutting, I shared cuttings later with friends, then when my plant died in a freeze, I got a cutting back to start again. The original plant belonged to the lady's grandmother and she had no idea how old it was.

Pegasus has been blooming its pretty little head off, even though it suffers from recurring bouts with scale.

Why do I never hear about your sales?

Louise, now that you're through with weddings and such for a while, I hope we'll see more of you here. We need photos. And you really should join my smokers' cubit too:

OMG...I have walking iris and I've had it a loooong time ,now I'm going to spend the rest of tonight trying to remember where it came from....I started a bunch of babies from it that I sold at the Market...everyone was always intrigued by that plant. I need to get it into the ground so it can grow a lot more and faster....lately I've been finding out just how long some plants will live in the same pots......lol...
I've been working at planting and maintenance and ignoring the nursery part....a large part of me just doesn't want to do it anymore, but I'm trying to make myself more disciplined about it again now and getting back to propagating. Last weekend was an impromptu sale, trying to clear some stuff out and Gale's open every weekend now, so I suppose I will be also....or try to...sigh...I'm doing it in a half-hearted manner, not advertising, just stuck a notice on craigslist and I'm posting one each week now for Gale, to link to her website. She gets referrals from Myrtle Creek and Emerald M, so I think I'll just be open to benefit from her exposure, plus last week she had one of her repeat customers bring the current pres of the Temecula Garden Club with her, so I suppose I should be open...lol...

I love Walking Iris. My last one died out a couple of years ago and I really miss it.

Yes, Sherry: Weege decided a couple of months ago that she's much more of a screwy louie than a weegy.

Hi guys! Yeah I thought scrwylouie was more fitting to me! I am a little embarrassed to admit I'm a smoker Kathleen!
Thanks Zuzu for jotting me down for that iris...send only if you have enough next year.
I will post pictures of the wedding when I can. It turned out fantastic and they honeymooned in Ireland...now they're back in the real world.
So much has been going on since Feb. I'm a little overwhelmed right now. Being a scrwylouie!

Zu, I think one of your garden pics had a nicotiana mutabilis in the background...Did I see that? And, if so, is it growing in full sun there?
Louise....was this the last wedding or do you have more waiting in your future?

It's time once again for my philodendron to flower! Just noticed it a few minutes ago. I'll sit outside for awhile with it tonight...it has the sweetest, clean scent....

Neat philodendron, Sherry.

I did grow Nicotiana Mutabilis for a few years and it was the best investment ever. I bought one little 4-inch plant from Annie's and it grew into a monster and reseeded all over the place, producing many, many monsters (but beautiful monsters). Yes, Sherry, it was growing in full sun in my garden. I eventually took all of the plants out, however, because I just don't have room for plants that big. If I had more property, I'd grow a bunch of them.

Thanks...I have a sense that maybe I asked you that same question sometime in the past on DG, but couldn't remember for sure...lol...mine could use more sun. Likewise, I wonder where I have room. I'm still trying to squeeze in every last salvia and I look at aussie salvia gal's flickr site and I see so many that I don't have and need and wonder where I can get them and where I can squeeze them in....then I think about the morning glories...oh my....
