Now this place is a real treat. Stuff you won't find anywhere else. Stuff Peacock himself couldn't resist and had to buy and propagate. Last time I was there I scarfed up a beautiful Chilean Bellflower (I don't even know if I got the pink one or the white one) because I saw them clamoring over the back of the house....

Sometimes I wonder if it will ever be Thursday again so I can stop in. They are closed Monday to Wednesday, and that can seem like forever.

Gosh, Susan. You're a regular at all of my favorite local nurseries. We must have run into each other a dozen times without knowing.

What I love are all of the Heronswood plants he bought before Burpee had a chance to ruin Heronswood.

If you need more Chilean Bellflowers, you'll get a fabulous deal on them at Sonoma Horticultural Nursery. Polo grew his Lapagerias from seed several years ago, and the one-gallon plants are only $12 ($9 if you catch the 25%-off sale in February).

If you go all the way to the eastern perimeter of the nursery, you might even find some tables with Lapagerias in 4-inch pots for a ludicrously low price, unless they've all been repotted.

LOVE Peacock! We always make sure to visit. I am in lust for his golden locust tree! Great selection of sempervivums too.
