Emerisa is primarily a wholesale nursery, but they also open a retail shop during the spring and summer. AND, since they close the retail part for the winter, they always have a very excellent end of season sale (my favorite word). Actually they also just had their summer sale, and I added three new Echinaceas to my container gardens.

Sue and I caught the summer sale purely by fluke. I don't remember them ever having a summer sale before. The best thing is that the retail personnel will order you whatever you want from the wholesale side. I just wish they'd put their Talavera pottery on sale.

Hmmmmph on the Talavera.
It doesn't stand up to our occasional winter freezes.
I love the stuff but I've got a huge frog and a huge turtle both with the shiny colorful parts totally flaked off of their heads.

No more Talavera for me....boo hooooooo

How sad! It's never happened to my Talavera pots and animals, and I think we have more frost here in Sebastopol than you have, but I must have placed all of mine in sheltered locations, purely by coincidence. From now on, I'll do it deliberately.
