We moved to a new house in Toronto, that requires major works in the yard. The yard is spacious and looks nice. But lack of care made it useless. At this point, we took out good 30 truckloads of old bark full of weeds, yanked out dead trees. After curbing, we are planning to bring in good 12-18 inches of topsoil that will be ready to plant in the next month. This is where I need help - How can I make it attractive and affordable? I wish to renovate the exterior of the house with swimming pool and landscape design ( http://www.soldapools.com/solda-pools-design-and-build/ ). It is a suggestion from a gardener in our locality.
I can arrange a better area for a garden, swimming pool, and landscape. So you can imagine how big is my exterior. If I get proper guidelines, I can convert it into a heaven. Now I need help with planting plants in our area. Can anyone give suggestions? I don't want the same bush in a straight line but don't even know where to start to make it random yet pretty.
Converting a useless area into an attractive area is quite difficult. I totally believe in hard work. So kindly suggest some tips to fulfill my idea.
