This one was a Christmas gift from grandma. Everyone in our little family got one. Everyone got to pick their quilt; some years we drew numbers, some from oldest to youngest and then the reverse, once in awhile it would be by birth month. This year I got to pick first, I wasn't but 8 or 9 at the time. My mother got the shaft that year; I was too young to have a clue. She had asked grandma to make the Double Wedding Ring pattern for her, I picked her quilt. I would have traded quilts with her had I known. Everyone kept their mouths shut and let me wear it out, I had no idea this pattern was a "prize". |

My parents were given this pattern in a quilt for their first anniversary from my paternal grandmother...it finally fell apart after I left home at 18. Would have loved to have it to pass down but was past repair. http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |
