I have heard, from some very good gardeners, that they are finicky. Guess I was just lucky the first time so I am keeping my fingers crossed with these. I won't know until they grow some more which ones are the dwarfs and which ones are larger like the one in Kat's picture.

Thank you, that container is so beautiful. I hope mine will look half that good. Guess I will mix some of them up if I can find an interesting container.

Still haven't learned to combine photos. The monkey...fig vine not hardy here. He may need some sunglasses.

OH Susan!!!

I LOVE the monkey!!! Did you get him from Topiary works? That is just too cool! My horse is finally doing good. I've had a few semp varieties melt and die, but the rest look like they're going to hang in and I have the back-ups growing and when they get some good roots will replenish. When did you start planting him? He looks like he's fairly established. Love it!

Those Thai's are looking good! Some varieties I bought a couple of years ago, never made a return appearance. However, this year I mixed some Florida Sweethearts in the mix, with a little Cuban Oregano and suddenly some Thai's reappeared.

I'm a Caladium nut and I've had some really beautiful exotic varieties. However, the domestic ones are becoming my favorites - So hearty and they're dependable. Here's my favorite right now - "Florida Beauty". I just stuck a few bulbs in a huge container that I'm growing climbing roses and clematis in and they've totally taken over!

Kat first let me say your caladiums are breathtaking. Again I have florida envy Drooling

One of my local nurseries closed for the season and had a 50% off sale. I've been eyeing the monkey for about three years. Couldn't pass up the deal.

Been taking garden pics the last two days but still can't figure out how to put three on the screen.

Susan, if you're talking about using the "lightbox" feature, in order to post multiple pictures, they first have to have been posted somewhere on Cubits, in a thread, or a database, or in a C-mail (and you can c-mail them to yourself). Once you've done that, it's pretty easy.

Susan, you have to have multiple windows open, one for the post you're creating and one for locating your photos. What you need is the web address for the location of your pictures. Easiest way to do that is to right click on the photo and select "open in new window," then you can copy the url address, like this:

http://cubits.org/pics/2010-06-27/woofie/b703f2.jpg
http://cubits.org/pics/2010-06-27/woofie/466508.jpg

Then you erase most of the address so it looks like this: 2010-06-27/woofie/b703f2 and this 2010-06-27/woofie/466508

Surround each remaining address with the lightbox commands:
[ lightbox ] 2010-06-27/woofie/b703f2 [ /lightbox ] [ lightbox ] 2010-06-27/woofie/466508 [ /lightbox ]
(I put in spaces so you can see the command line; there should be no spaces)

If you want them side by side, put the commands on the same line. If you want them in a line, do a return after each. It sounds like a lot of fiddling, but it's really pretty quick once you get used to it. It's kind of fun to play with anyway.

Woofie...thanks so much for the instruction! It's really not that easy is it...BUT once you have the photo properties it works out fine. If I'm doing a bunch of photo's I do them on a test site that is only visible to me. Works out good as I can sit here putting in the code and previewing to make sure I have it right. Then I just copy it all and paste it to the forum!

If you all would like me to set up a test forum for those who don't have individual cubits, just let me know.
