Stella wanted to help me right from the start. Here, she'd been examining the dryer vent, looking for spiders that might benefit the garden. That's a combination of dryer snot and cobwebs on her face. They had been thicker, but I didn't get a picture in time to show it!

I used to dogsit a Jack Russell who thought if I could dig in the garden so could he. Of course if I was working in a new area, he was great help, esp, if I dug a small hole and pointed it out to him and said "Get the squirrel!" Than I'd go in the house, potty, get something to eat and drink, watch a little TV. When I went back out, he had the area dug up. He once dug a about a 12 feet furrow, before he realized I had tricked him and he came in a demanded some of my lunch. We shared!!

oohh gotta teach my girls that trick!!!!.. Lily is quick... her death toll consists of chipmunks, a sparrow, and a grackle.. well not sure if the grackle just happen to die there.. I didn't actually see her do it .. she might dig if she thought a chipmunk was there.. I call them her "friends"... and she knows just what I mean... that dog will sit in wait for hours and hours hoping one will come out of a hole .. ears vibrating and all .. she smells them behind our retaining wall block and follows the trails.. kinda funny to be up on top weeding and hear this funny "phuff phuff" sound.. her pressing her nose between the cracks and sniffing real hard.. the first time she did it I had no idea what it was.. and of course when I went over to look at her she just stood there and looked at me like I was nuts.. I feel bad when she does get them.. but she is so proud... I saw her get her first chipmunk she sat perfectly still until that dope got right in front of her... chased it behind my grill and whamo... I was amazed she was that fast.. just figured she would never get him ... where Jily could care less about that stuff.. most of the time she is just barking at everything... I call her my little cheerleader.. can't get dirty and does not like to be wet.. but provides backup for Lily when she feels like she wants to
Onewish...My little female is so much more adventurous than her hubby. She's the hunter actually. She's also the cheerleader and gets him going! AND...she's got the outfit to prove it! haha. I need to make her some little pom-poms! LOL
Good for you Allison. I really wish I hadn't of spayed and neutered Ziggy and Zara right away and at least had one litter. However, how do you part with the pups? That was my problem. I don't think I could have. PLEASE post some photo's of the pups!
These two are just totally hillarious at times and I don't know what I would do without them. They're 10 now and I'm always thinking about how time has flown since I got them as puppies and don't even want to think about the rest of the story.
The only BIG problem I have is Ziggy with his drinking problem....hahahaha
(it's water...I keep this plastic glass in the bathroom for them as I think it's at a real good level and they don't have to bend to drink so much! LOL)
