That pic is cruel and unusual punishment.
I flew down from AK to attend the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle, WA. The LAST plant I made myself crazy over before it closed for the day was the Kangaroo Paw shown in your previous pic. I saw them yesterday and was able to resist. Today, I really really wanted it, but they were too big for me to get home in my luggage or carry-on. They only had them in gallon size pots. I drove those poor lady's crazy trying to figure out how to get it back here (along with the other stuff I had already purchased, such a hanging ceramic bird bath)...Sadly, I had to leave it behind. I wanted it desperately for a houseplant that would love our long sunny days outdoors in the summer.

THEN, you have it pared with Persian Shield, which is one of my favorites, that is very difficult to find up here unless you want to pay $$$ for a 4" pot with fungus gnats...

Woe is me...I LOVE that planting....
