I never thought I would see the day but I simply cannot watch the current political discussions. The possibility of one of our major cities being destroyed by a sneak nuclear bomb, millions of people out of work, healthcare costs skyrocketing, critical national infrastructure collapsing, food safety programs breaking down, military ground forces pushed to the breaking point, many state's financials far beyond the point of bankruptcy, secondary education reaching the point where it is unaffordable, etc., etc., etc.
The main point of debate has come to the argument of whether or not the President should appear on a tv intertainment show. Wake me up about October 1st.
The nomination of Ryan as VP with Romney now sets up a very clear choice of which way we want the country to go. Most of the time it is just a coin toss between the evil of two lessers. Vote your conscience and hope for the best.
After all the Republican hue and cry about Democrat voter fraud, the first official report of actual voter registration fraud comes from Florida and was committed by a Republican contractor. Who woulda thunk it?
Apparently it was a Republican operation designed to have 'plausible deniability' if they were caught and could blame it on a contractor. MSNBC has mentioned several current states with the Republican voter fraud but Fox has never mentioned it as far as I could see. The person or contractor in question had a history of this type of activity so there is no question in my mind that it was setup from the beginning. There have also been issues of tearing up registration forms of people desiring to register other than Republican.
