Yes, 98 degree heat is no time to be doing heavy work. Blinking

So what mischief are you getting into while you are waiting for it to cool down?

Mischief, me? The chance would be a fine thing. Sticking tongue out
Actually over the past two months or so my eldest boy has developed an interest in learning to play the guitar,
something of a revelation to me as previously he'd never shown the slightest interest.
I managed to buy him a really good second-hand acoustic for a song (pardon the humor). So far he is doing extraordinarily well. I'm using my free time during his summer holiday teaching him.

That is wonderful. He is learning something that will enrich is life through music and through time spent at the side of his father.

Oh yay!! I catch up just in time to see the worst of the job done and in time to turn my ear to the beginning of young son's guitar journey. Those lessons you are giving him will be treasures to last a lifetime. Smiling

A strange thing.
I have a clock on the wall in our dining area, we've had it for ten years and it's just a bog standard battery-powered clock.
Nothing strange so far but here's the twist, it gains 3 minutes in a month but only after setting it to the correct time, if I leave it 3 minutes fast it stays 3 minutes fast Infinitum. It's now a year since I set it and it's still 3 minutes fast, how?
On the plus side, it prevents us being late for appointments. Big Grin

I've managed to do a little job, only took a day. I've divided the garden in half with a trellis fence to keep the dog off my vegetable patch and planting two climbing roses, just have to wait and see how it turns out.

That is such a beautiful solution. It already looks great, and once the roses spread it will be even better. Thumbs up

A trellis there will sure make a huge improvement for your eyesore problem. I just rolled up all my "spare" money in my change jar. There was $75 dollars in there! That is 1 years change...It would be a long wait to reach $500 Blinking

Just let the guy that owns that house complain after I build a trellis and block his light some! A few well-chosen English expletives with a few Japanese ones thrown in for good measure would be in order I think. Big Grin Not that I'm given to swearing but it makes me so mad having to see that each time I look out from my window. Grumbling
