Do you have what it takes to grow dahlias? With this general information, you will find the dahlia is easy to raise, if some basic conditions are met. Once successful, the question then becomes which of the 50,000 available to try! That's an entirely different subject. So what do dahlias need to grow?

What dahlia cultivar is it that is in the thumbnail for this article? It's the purple/pinkish with white and looks like a dahlia from Wynne's.

Relax. It's only a small setback.
Those are/were Normandy Alexis and a great hot pink on white that bloomed in groups. Sadly, I didn't manage to save one tuber.

Ah, they hybridize some fantastic dahlias. I'm surprised I haven't heard of more of the Normandy tubers.

He's had to cut back a far way since I fist visited their place several years ago. Normandy Copper Glow is fabulous!

Funny my Normandy Alexis is quite different from their photo, but I loved the color and the flowers.
