| I've heard that Irish Blackhart is difficult to keep. I don't dig until mid-March so I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what treasures are buried in the yard. I never know if I should re-order favorites or just trust that they will survive. My retention rate is much much higher without digging. Counting down the days until March 15. Last year we had so much rain in March that lifting didn't start until mid April. We're in the mid 60° this week. Very nice outside. |

Irish Blackhart is a stingy tuber maker. However, it grows well from cuttings. |

I very much like Ova Jo for a cut flower. It is yellow and white. I have been growing it for 3 or 4 years now. . THe white petal tips usually show up better then on this pic and they don't usually sunburn.Salish Dahlias |
