Here are a couple more nice flowers that will go into some ones bouquet. I gave the Viking princess a bouquet with barn county in it. The bloom is bigger then her head. Dahlias were not her flower. I think I am winning her over.
" 6†Incredible dark purple blooms on a 4 ½’ plant." According to Swan Island. I didn't measure my bloom but I would guess it was between 5.5 and 6"...And yes the picture on their site looks like my bloom. I hope it keeps up that way!
Sylvia, what a nice homecoming......blooms, blooms and more blooms! Thank you for posting pictures. As soon as I get my hard drive fixed, I will post some pictures. I hope the computer tech is able to recover my pictures.

Nice blooms! I hope my Creme De Cassis has made it! (And that I actually found a source for it and have it coming along!) I was looking for all the dahlias that have darker purple backs and paler lavender fronts to compare with my seedling, Going Dark...and maybe to try some cross breeding with. So far my "Going Dark"s are growing nicely but no blooms yet.
So OK, remember when I thought Tahoma Early Dawn had been stolen? Well, guess what opened today with a tag that says "Tahoma Flare"? And its in the Orange row! Now I am wondering where Tahoma Flare will turn up ! I know where one is labeled that that hasn't bloomed but I really did buy Tahoma Flare also! And there should have been 2 Tahoma Early Dawns, plus I got another from Viv "after loosing track" of the originals
Thanks, Noni! I have several that are blooming in this extreme heat and I have no explanation for why (maybe it is because I walk around and talk to them, the world may never know!). And HURRAY for finding a gem that you thought had been stolen from you! The world works in mysterious ways...
