We enjoy breeding new dahlias!
Love the colors and a white vase is nice.
We like to place a sign on our porch that says: We are in the garden. Really, we are always in the garden.

Great colors and movement! I love the way the berry thingies on the bottom (crabapples?) ground the flowers on the upper right and prevent their escape.

What is the pink waterlily on the bottom right?

The water lily is Kari Blu. It’s a little smaller than I was expecting, but quite pretty.

Yes, the berries are crabapples. I love using them in arrangements.

I love your bouquet! And I also love using crabapples in them. I do not have a crab apple tree now since our move. So far one apple tree has died of root rot from the wet clay soil. I need to figure this out and plant a Crabapple or 3. Right now the heat is keeping us busy watering in the lilac hedge and Pink Dogwood that are too far away for drip line...

I came home from a long weekend to an awful lot of flowers.

This is my favorite, but I had trouble getting the photo arranged. The flowers look better from the top (it’s a table centerpiece), but the bowl is pretty cool too.

Both are very nice. Jealous as we have almost no dahlia flowers.

Ted, that must be so hard! I was able to plant weeks and weeks ahead of you and my garden is almost at full bloom. SO GLAD we went to raised beds! Maybe you should build one raised bed to plant some early bloomers in while the rest of your garden catches up.

My mom gave me this super-amazing Royal Haeger vase for my birthday! It’s kind of fussy to arrange but boy do I love it!

Nice one, Julia!

I took some photos the other day for future social media click bait. Haha.

No one can have any of these dahlias. They are pretty but don't make tubers or I'm not keeping them.

Pretty, Cosey.
Your salmon one reminds me of Linda’s Esther. I had one that sported to a solid peachy color. (Loved it, but lost it)

Beautiful arrangement Cosey! I love the footed bowl too.

I always love buds in arrangements. But I have a tendency to be enthusiastic about disbudding, so I don’t wind up with many…
