I grew all the Akita 'types' last year, except for Kiev (white, have not seen it in th US), and loved them all. Unfortunately, mostly they did not keep well for me. I *might* have Manhattan Island, and maybe Akita, but Avignon, Cambridge, and Vancouver all failed. The only one that did well was Bilbao(bilboa).

I really liked Avignon, though, and Cambridge for variegates. I liked AC Paint, too. Hulin hasn't done well for me in the last two years, but I've always loved it, and will continue to try to grow it.
