I stopped at Locust Grove for a quick visit to see how the dahlias are doing this year. They are about half the size that they were last year. In 2017, varieties were all heirlooms but the dahlias are unmarked this year. I suspect that the combination of intense heat, humidity, and torrential rains has really impacted the gardens in my area. Here are a few pics of the flowers that were in bloom:                    |
