There is a lot of emphasis here on how many rows of ray florets that a waterlily displays. I wish they would be more concerned about the cupping of the petals. If they cup well, a bloom can have more rows of petals and still look good.
We like to place a sign on our porch that says: We are in the garden. Really, we are always in the garden.
