![]() ![]() ![]() Gitt's Pefection was introduced in 1997 by Nick Gitt's of Swan Island Dahlias. It's an A-sized informal decorative that's a light blend of Lavender/White (according to the ADS) but it's always been pink/white for me. The plant grows about 3.5' tall and blooms quite well for a plant providing 10" blooms on average. The distinctive pointed tips of the petals as well as the very symmetrical form of the very large pink/white blooms makes this one quite an eye-catcher in the garden. I never could get a very ample amount of tubers from the plant and keeping them over the winter seems to be very difficult for me personally. It's always been worth it for me to purchase the tubers because I always enjoy seeing the blooms up in the front of my garden. I've also noticed as the winter approaches and the days get cooler the blooms just bleach out to white. |
