I have been meaning to write this farewell note to my old friend for a few weeks, now, but this somehow seemed like a very appropriate time.

What an elegant story, elegant life and elegant companion. Perfection.
Hard to read about your lovely friend through the tears.
Just lost my doggy, too. 11 yrs. old.
Amazing the relationship we build with our "loved ones".
Thank you.

Relax. It's only a small setback.
I knew I shouldn't have read this; but what a heartfelt send off to a very special dog. Pass the Kleenex. What a great life Falco had, and how he enhanced your own life. 17 years! Here's to all dogs.

A great article and powerful article, Lance.

Thank you for the compliments. I wrote it mostly for myself originally, of course, and have been pleasantly surprised at how well it has been received. I am glad you both enjoyed it.
And don't be afraid to release a little emotion, it can be quite cleansing, at least among friends. Catharsis is good.
