The FDA is investigating at least one hormone replacement therapy medication for it's effect on pets of those using the medication. The one in particular is a spray on post menapausal treatment for women. Here is a link: http://news.vin.com/VINNews.aspx?articleId=16733 There are many of these topical treatments out there both prescription & over the counter. IMHO any of them could affect your pet. Think before you act. I'm not saying don't use these things but if you need to use them then make sure the product is not going to transfer to your pets or for that matter any other humans. Thanks for the information. It is indeed important to think about the effect our own medications, or any apparently innocuous compounds we may use, on our pets. It also makes me wonder how all these various synthetic chemicals we are exposed to may affect us and our pets. I already know it is not good, but we may not be aware of just how much it does to us and those under our care. I hope you had a good New Year day. No thanks needed. And I agree about the rest of your thoughts. I wonder if we could ever manage to narrow things down though as to causes or a single cause. There is just sooooo much to consider; we've synthesized the whole world & everything in it. New Year wishes to you & everyone too!
