We picked up Cassia at 7 weeks old. My husband has a 'gamer' chair in the living room that he usually sits in. Cassia was fascinated by the chair - she always wanted to be in your lap if you were in that chair. After a couple of days she was able to pull herself into that chair...and it is now 'HER' chair. The first time on her own: ![]() A few months later, about 6 months. ![]() When she was a year old, with our rescue Brooklyn. ![]() |

What a beautiful dog. What breed is she? |

Margaret - they are all golden retrievers. We have three of them now. The sofa in the background of the third picture is now the "doggie sofa" that we covered in a fleece blanket. Brooklyn loved to be on the couches, and we weren't very keen on her being on the leather with muddy/dirty feet (we kept finding her feetmarks) so we relented. It is her absolute favorite place and all three of the dogs climb up when it's cool enough. :)![]() |

Don't think I've ever been up close to one. They are beautiful. A lady at Curves here in town has 2 large dogs and now that her children are out of the house she turned the spare bedroom into their room complete with an iron bed. |

lol! I can't foresee us ever going that far. They leave hair enough wherever they go - I don't think I'd need a room dedicated to it! :) Goldens are wonderful dogs. They're terrible if you need one for protection or to deter outsiders as they love people too much. They do shed copious amounts of hair regardless of how often they are brushed but their extreme pleasure in everything and everyone far outweigh the small amount of negatives. |

An amazingly symmetrical shot. You should caption it and you might be able to use that one! Thanks for sharing.
