The FDA is investigating at least one hormone replacement therapy medication for it's effect on pets of those using the medication. The one in particular is a spray on post menapausal treatment for women. Here is a link:

There are many of these topical treatments out there both prescription & over the counter. IMHO any of them could affect your pet. Think before you act. I'm not saying don't use these things but if you need to use them then make sure the product is not going to transfer to your pets or for that matter any other humans.
