Thanks for sharing your own experiences. One of the reports I read said outside cats live maybe 5 years, more typically 2-4, while indoor cats often live to 15 years old or more. What an amazing difference in life spans, and it makes me wonder what people have in mind when they think outside is better for their pets.
I also hope more will read and share the information, both for their pets' and wildlife's sake.
