Though there are still technical problems to work out Samsung has developed a solar powered 46" prototype TV that operates completely free of the power grid. The thin, transparent screen allows objects behind to be visible. The technology could be applicable to windshields and store front displays.

Wow, I only regret I won't live long enough to see all these great ideas come to fruition! Inventive!

I know! It's amazing what can be accomplished. And what will be accomplished. I used to live near Disneyland and went to the park frequently. I was always fascinated with Tomorrowland. The idea that you could have a camera at your front door and a viewing screen in the kitchen just blew my mind... and that was in the early '60s!!! Hilarious! No one had one, of course, but it was being developed!

Paul,
That's Great! Do you use panels? Do you ever need to use electrical backup? Is the news any better when powered by solar than electric???? Just being funny Big Grin
