I experienced the very destructive Phoenix hail storm of Oct. 5, 2010 and sustained loss of my roof and A/C Heat Pump. When I arranged to have my new roof installed I knew I wanted to include 2 Solar Attic Fans. My attic area can easily reach 120 degrees in the Summer months. My brother lives in North Central California and experiences similar heat. He installed 2 fans a year prior to me and says they are more effective in removing the heat trapped in the attic and cost nothing to operate. His electric bills have been reduced about 20% because the heat is removed thus cooling the interior. Not that I'm looking forward to Summer ![]() ![]() "There are only two ways to live your life. It's a great idea. I look forward to hearing how well it works. We might want to do the same thing here, though our coolish nights make the problem less severe. And for eight months of the year a little trapped heat up there helps us get through the night without additional heat. |

Apparently these are good for removing moisture from the attic area as well. "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." --Albert Einstein ~ All Things Plants, SOUTHWEST GARDENING ~Cubits.org ENERGY & POWER |
